Or how Miss Weaslie spent her summer vacation.
I received the funniest email the other day. A reader in Florida had seen pictures of Miss Weaslie (aka Miss Tilly) "swimming" in the Frog Pond and wrote that she too had a corgi that liked to swim and "I thought this behavior was atypical, but after seeing your pictures, I guess corgis are natural swimmers."
I hurt myself laughing.
You see, while it sure appears that she's swimming her way to a gold medal,
what is indeed happening is, yes, fake swimming,
as proven by the instant stop to stand up and look at something.
Among her other favorite summertime activities - stealing corn ears from the Adventure Chickens. And I'm pretty sure they didn't tell her it was okay to share like she's trying to convince us with this innocent expression.

Miss Weaslie/Tilley looks like she
is smoking a stogie. (Looks a little like Winston Churchill. :)
That little sneaky dog! How funny and clever, really. I saw your comment on my blog and thanks for the birthday wishes for Maddie. How about next year we put party hats on all the sheepies and dogs and see who eats them first????
There's nothing like a corgi! Our Ivy is the resident "food slut" on the farm. Nothing that will fit in her mouth is safe. Green (unripe) apples are the current obsession.

My parents have one that is equally rotten. I don't know that I've ever seen her fake swimming before though. She does herd the cats around and keeps the yard as "deer free" as she can from her perch on the back of the couch.
Molly
She does have a V.E.R.Y. innocent look on her face. Corgi's are just starting to show up in our area and I just love looking at them. They are so full of fun and energy!
