I may be the crazy sheep lady, but I'm the psycho lawn lady. In fact, it's really so embarrassing that I'm just not going to say any more about it and I don't even want to know what Saint Tim was thinking about when he got home the other night and saw this.
There's always an exception (usually involving little old ladies) to the laundry list of yard rules...and yes, it's a laundry list. There are rules about trucks, cars, tractors, ATVs, limbs down, fertilizer, chemicals (NONE!), how long a corn hole game can stay in one place, chickens, sheep, mowing patterns (a whole sub category!), lawn clippings.........).
This is my favorite lawn picture. Miss Ewenice (another cute little old lady) from a few years ago.
And doesn't that lawn look luscious? ;-)

yes it does. I have a a longing for grass that feels like cool green carpet under my bare feet. But right now, I have a mole who is turning my lawn into a mine field. eeergh!
Oh, it does! What type of lawn (grass) grows there? Lots of people around here grow Kentucky :)
Bluegrass. I love that thirsty, soft, grass. I grow it also. I like how it winters over and how it greens up.

I love today's photos! Then again, I always love your photos.
I LOVE the photo of Miss Ewenice drinking out of the birdbath. Sometimes when we move the sheep from field to field they decide to detour through the yard, and it is hysterical to see them darting around taking a bite of this and a bite of that.
I just love that sheep photo! I knew your sheep were spoiled, but that's a mighty fancy water trough. :-)
I have snow. Lots of it. And ice.
.... and the rule about the horse grazing near the house is where on the list?
.... the picture of Miss Ewenice is precious. It should be made into a card, or is it part of your collection already on site?
We have our first mole too. Making a bee line straight through the side field. Will have to try to get a picture.
Grass is a mix and I'm not exactly sure. We spread pasture mix in last year so there'd be some clover for the bees.
The rule about the horse (singular!) in the yard falls under the little old lady clause ;-). Miss Aria is 26 or 27.
Hello,
I'm a fellow fiber enthusiast who loves reading your blog! Someone just sent me a link to the following YouTube video - it's sheep performance art!

Cheerio!

I love the photo with Eunice drinking from the bird bath. When travelling in New Zealand (many years ago) we saw many homes in the subdivisions that would have a sheep tethered to the front lawn - to cut the grass. And I'm sure her poops would fertilize it too!
