I See Sheep

Even in the most unlikely places.

Do you see it?

The following is a true story.

Several years ago - we'll leave it at several - I worked in an office at the Kentucky Horse Park. My boss, myself and another co-worker had gone to nearby Georgetown for lunch. On the way back, as we turned up the off ramp from I-75, I saw something on the side of the road.

"Stop! That was a sheep!"

We were still probably going at least 55 miles per hour. They both thought I was nuts, but stopped. I ran back down the ramp and sure enough. A tiny stuffed sheep.

Hee hee.

I don't know how I do it either.

I did know the story but I do not recall seeing that sheep. Perhaps it was a harbinger of things to come! ;-)))

I meant to tell you 'THANK YOU' for having the Hug a Sheep day at your farm. I couldn't bring myself to hug one because it being Lexie's birthday, I would have ended up bawling my eyes out on their wool... Anyway, Jason claims I have some sort of sixth sense when it comes to sheepy things. We can be in a store and I'll catch a glimpse of something fluffy and cute and I'll yell, "SHEEP!!!"

Adorable.

What year(s) did you work at KHP? My daughter and I went there twice. Did you go to see the movie Secretariat? I believe it was at the Horse Park where we saw the measured 25 foot stride of that amazing animal.

No, Punkin was my very first sheep rescue. I don't think I ever necessarily saw sheep before that.

Yes, I think the KHP has the stride marked off. Have not seen Secretariat yet. I worked for the ASHA and the USPC - 5 years each place in the 90's.
