Oh sweet Crazy Esther...how lucky we readers were to know you.....through the eyes of a pure soul like your caregiver Sara.

Oh, Sara, what sad news. Right before I read the post I hung sleigh bells on the door. I wonder if she got her wings when they rang?

Bless her heart, Crazy Esther had a great life and a wonderful shepherd while she was here. What more could any sheep ask for?

Oh dear; I'm so sorry. I'm catching up here late tonight; I just watched Renny's video and smiled - and then read this. But how blessed she was to live with you, and die with you....

So sorry, Sara....I really hate losing an animal, but do take comfort in believing that they really are in a place with deep green grass and are cavorting with their friends. Thank you for sharing Crazy Esther with us....

Right now I am crying for Esther and for the loss of my own two precious little sheepy angels .

I have this vision of all the animals I've loved coming down and walking to heaven with me when my time comes.

Crazy Esther will be waiting for you. (along with all of the others). Thanks for the chance to meet her before she died. I know she is romping and boinging around in heavenly pastures!

That type of post is a hard one to write. Difficult, too, to respond.
Bless you and all you do for all your fuzzy friends. Great memories and stories keep all of our friends in our hearts.

It's so hard to lose a beloved animal as they give so much to us with so few demands. You'll miss her, but maybe she wanted to make room for Rennie?

I am so sorry about Crazy Esther. I wish you peace and love now and always.
I would love to hear the story of how Crazy Esther got her name. Also, I'm curious of your "farm miracle" that was on your tweet.

I'm so sorry, Sara! It's so very hard to lose those animals we love. For me, well I'm glad she lived with you (if I were a sheep I would want to live with you.)

Of course they go to heaven. We even have it in writing. "The lion shall lie down with the lamb".

Blessings on you and I'm sure Esther is watching from above.

God has another sheep to shepherd. Bless Crazy Esther.

It's so hard to lose the old girls. RubyBelle saved her a spot under an apple tree :-)

I feel awful! I read this the other day and didn't realy comprehend that Esther had died. I didn't mean to ignore your sorrow. I thought you meant Kentucky was her heaven. I'm so sorry for you but I'm sure Grandma is showing her around and the two of them are young again and kicking and bucking like lambs in the spring sun.

Leah said...

I am so sorry to read that Esther has left Kentucky. I am certain she is off to greener pastures, in spite of that being incomprehensable to me. (There cannot be anything greener than pastures in Kentucky.)

I admire your courage to walk with her so closely through her last days.
