I don't normally like doctoring photos, but this particular shot begged to be converted to black and white. One of the Photoshop options was "newspaper" and I love how it washed out the white yarn and upped the contrast. Hooks on Kromski spinning wheel.
A friend's Lincoln longwool fleece.
There's a name for this part and I am drawing a complete blank - Jensen wheel.
Punkin yarn on the Jensen wheel.
On the steps out front - Doone Valley Thyme in melting snow. A nice little hint of green.

Very cool, your wheel and yarns are perfect for macro shots..:-))
Really nice macros. Always fun to see how you make yarn. :)
Impressive macro photos. I especially like the Punkin yarn on the Jensen wheel because of it's contrasts in color and texture and focus. Great composition, Sara.
Those are really cool!
That white wool is so pure looking!
That part is called the crank and footman.
Nice shots. Very interesting.
Grea pics! The second to last is my favorite :)

Excellent depth of field on all your shots...my camera just doesn't give me that much...or it's 'operator error.'
I'm becoming more and more enamored with black & white photography. How I wish I could figure out how to do macro shots with my camera! Perhaps I can't. Perhaps I would need a special lens. Do you use a digital or 35mm camera?
Nice macros; I have to say that although I love the wool shot, my favorite is the green amidst the snow- makes me long for spring!
I finally bought a spinning wheel, now I have to learn how to use one ;-)
Love all the macro shots, although I was looking for the mS one. :-)
Wonderful, the depth of field on the first shot is fabulous.
I love the look of a spinning wheel. I wanted one, but just to display! lol

Great working shots..I really like the one of just the wool..and your Thyme..very pretty:)
Cool macros!! As always your yarns pics are perfect :)
