Lace Weight

It really should say "cobweb" weight, but I figured if I did that and didn't put a picture of Kate at the top I wouldn't have many folks looking on ;-).  This is really neat though, so I hope you scroll down.

You'll have to click to biggify.  Do you see the web?

Do you see how it's anchored at the bottom?

That one strand of web is strong enough to bend that pretty good size mint blossom around!

And it worked.  Sorry, fly, but that spider worked hard to catch you :-/.

And here he/she is.  Wouldn't it be neat to be able to tuck into a flower like that?  Maybe not that exact petal ;-).

A welcome sign of fall!

And we got a little rain :-D.

Some Sunday Sunrise Sheep Shots

Note the Ts running across the top of the field.

Annabelly coming up to say "Happy Birthday!"

Three old timers.  Too many birthdays!

Baaxter and Chocula getting ready to have less birthdays.  All that nice grass and you are eating grass covered in fence paint over spray?!?

Pretty Petunia.

All the fences and barns have been freshly painted.  The over spray makes this look like I photoshopped the  paint on there.

I'm not sure what is going on in this pictures.  Obviously Woolliam doesn't have a clue either or else he's just decided to sleep through whatever those two girls are having words about.  Baby Belly and Annabelly.

Enjoy!

The 2017 Eclipse Party

There might have been fancier parties in 100% coverage locations, but I'm quite sure no one had as much fun as we did on The Hillside in Winchester, Kentucky.  Dr. Science aka Uncle John built three viewing devices.  Auntie Reg made an awesome tomato pie eclipsed by cheddar cheese.  Friends and neighbors came.  We stayed as cool as we could and a good time was had by all.

Getting ready.

It's starting!

20 preferred the long box pinhole camera.

Quite a good view using a simple cardboard box!

The clouds moving across were interesting.

Getting a bigger view.

A fan in the forest!

Such a beautiful area.

Getting there!

Eclipse pie :-D.

This picture cracks me up.  I wonder what 20 was telling them!

The long box, being twice as long as the short box pinhole camera, made the image twice as large, but nowhere near as large as the binoculars set up.

It never got dark, but it did get dim.  I'm not sure what the animals here on the farm did, but the birds there got quiet and the crickets started singing more.  The best part?  It cooled off for a few minutes!

As total as we got.  It was rotating around at this point.  It started as sort of a backward C, then a U and then the moon moved on.  It was great fun!

Outstanding In Their Field

Handsome Hank (also now a new puzzle ;-).

"Oh look!  I have company."

"How you doin'?"

"I'm busy."

"Yes, ma'am."

Speaking Of Getting Tall!

I just noticed that my mulitiple picture Instagram posts are not getting auto posted to Twitter.  Looks like they are not hitting Facebook either.  Argh.  Here's one from last night that you'd probably like to see.  There are three pictures with this post.  Look for the arrows on the sides of the pictures to see them all.

I find Instagram to be very easy to follow and use and not at all creepy like some other social media venues.  I don't hesitate to suggest following along.  I post almost every morning and frequently throughout the day if something noteworthy is going on.  It's like a mini blog :-).

Enjoy!

At First Glance

This just looks like another one of those probably too numerous 'Biscuit and Muffin are such cute little lambs' posts.

Still grazing side by side.

What a cute little brother and sister.

My little baby Biscuit :-).

WHAT THE HECK, BISCUIT!?!  When did you get that tall?!?

I know it's what they are supposed to do, but...

...Mrs. Pepperpot and I wish they could stay babies forever...mostly because they are turning into bratty teenagers who keep trying to steal her food.  Biscuit's been stealing my food since he was a tiny baby ;-).

Enjoy!
