The wind keeps blowing down the three trees I set out on the wool house porch so I moved them inside. I just love Christmas trees. The old tree I set up in the house is covered in sheep (of course) and horses (of course) and cats (of course), but also miniature bales of straw, apples, dog biscuits and even bird nests. It's full.
It's so full that when I saw Ewen McTeagle's aunt Eleanor's beautiful sheep ornaments, I did stop and think "where on earth will I put these?" But just for a second. They are so darling I knew I'd find the perfect spot. And the wind helped.
Aren't these just wonderful? Little Ewen and Petunia and Rebecca Boone and Buddy and Miss Ewenice and Boudreaux...
Maybe needs a little yarn tinsel or garland. And a bird nest!

And the ponies snug in their run in sheds out the front window. This wind can quit any time now. I appreciate it drying up all the rain soaked ground, but I think we're "good" now.

So many sheep ornaments -and every one an original!
I have been collectijng small glass ornaments and birds.
What I should be collecting are little trees to hang them on.
Why do I get the impression you just about live in the wool house? It's just so cozy with that little stove, and just the right size, handy to the barns and fields.... bliss!
One question - why is there no door into the 'processing room' with the washer {& picker)? I noticed you have to go outside and then back in the door to that room.
We have the same kind of Christmas trees! I have a 7' one in my dining room and a little one (3') on an end table in my living room. I love them. After the Holidays, I just carry them downstairs (ornaments and all) and put a tablecloth over them until next year...
Adorable ornaments! I think I need to get my felting needles out....
It's such a small room that I didn't want to take up the wall space. Also, in the very beginning, the wash room wasn't going to be finished out like it is. Still, though, I think that wall is too small for couch, shelves, pictures... and would probably leave it that way if we had to rebuild.

When I saw the title of your post on Dashboard, it hit me: I am jealous of your Wool House -- and the time you have to enjoy it! I find myself thinking of what I would do in my house if I had it all to myself, and must redirect my thoughts to something healthier!
I cannot believe how wonderful the ornaments look in the wool house! And now I'm inspired to continue. I made a Wensleydale yesterday (sheep on a stick) and will add it to my repertoire. The flock says thanks for the cookies and they were glad you stopped by!

I love the ornaments! I made a Christmas patchwork sheep many years ago, I think my daughter has it now. :)

The ornaments are positively adorable! They are ever the more special because of their creator, and because they represent not just any sheep, but members of your sheep family. How dear is that!?
My favorite decorations are those that were hand made by my sister especially for me or our children.
However, your little sheep ornament I keep up year 'round. :-)

I would assume that you made all those fabulous sheep ornaments...each one is very special. Your Christmas trees are sweet. We have not had one for years...I create them out of dried bamboo or branches...twinkie lights and some homemade ornaments.
Your pastures look great! I'm afraid it's going to be a long time before we see grass again. (Your card turned out great.....)
