It's Quarter Past Boudreaux O'Clock

I needed a clock for the wool house and after looking at sheep clocks online, I decided to try to make my own. I obviously have plenty of sheep willing to replace the numbers and using Hank and Iris for the minute and hour hands seemed like a no brainer.

It looked right in my head (shut up!).

Maybe a subconscious attempt to turn back time? That's Ford and Buddy, by the way.

And short, fat (but cute) Henrietta.

Crazy Esther...of course.

Miss Ewenice and Ewen McTeagle. And - uh oh - I cut off part of Keebler. Wonder what that's gonna cost me. Maybe he won't notice.

So, besides repainting Hank and Iris so they are chasing the clock in the correct direction, I also need a longer clock stem and some sort of spacer between the two hands. Surely there are clock parts out there that will accommodate that...

What do you think about the size of the sheep? Too many? Should I go with four and make them bigger? The design seems a little bland, but I don't know how to fix it.

You are way too clever! Maybe what you could do is put something in the center of the clock. It may be difficult to make the sheep too much bigger and still fit them on the outside. I like the idea of 12, not four. The hands are perfect. A personal clock...now I have seen it all.

Now that is WAY COOL!!! :-))

Make more! I want one! Get them ready to sell at the Bluegrass.

What a terrific idea! Definately use all 12 sheep, I think their size is pretty good, you wouldn't want them smaller. The only thing I would add is something in the middle. Not too busy, maybe a pasture scene from a distance,
perhaps done in somewhat softer tones than the dial. Way too clever! Love it.

I like the 12 also, and agree a pasture scene, with clouds, would be really nice in the middle.

Perhaps make the 3, 6. 9 and 12 sheep a wee bit bigger?

I would simply go with clouds in the middle, like the sky...

Yeah...and when are you going to put these up for sale???? They're brilliant...I want to be on sheep time ALL the time...

I bet you just take your creative skills for granted, and me with none sits here in awe. I just LOVE that kind of stuff and it's so personal to you. Can I come and just walk through your house and gawk?

I guess I'll be the dissenter and say go with four sheep (though I like the idea of bigger sheep at noon, three, six and nine)
I always think of your pond, and your bees, when I think of your sheep and Equinox farm. Perhaps painting a token bee or two, and a cattail bunch, would provide some more visual interest?

I like the idea of making the 12,3,6 and 9 a little bigger, but make sure Keebs is one of the bigger ones or his feeling wil be hurt. I also thought some clouds in the middle would be pretty.
Do we get to see any shearing pictures?

There was a restaurant I used to go to that had a 'counter clockwise' clock. When you sat on the stools and looked at the clock through the mirror behind the counter, it showed the right way. I don't know how they managed to get the fixins to go backwards, but it would make Iris and Hank run in the proper direction.

oh and word verification is meringue - is that what the sheep dance to when you aren't watching?

Brilliant! I vote for twelve sheep, and soft clouds in the middle.

I like the 12 sheep idea. How about a picture of the wool house in the background? I wish I could paint.

I LOVE it!!! I like 12 sheep with 3, 6, 9, and 12 a little bigger. I also like the idea of a little pasture scene in the middle. Please add me to the list that wants one too :)
