A giant sunflower came up out front of the wool house.

And a successful harvest.

Ooo, I'd love to see some close-ups of the Adventure Chickens. Isn't fun to find gardening surprises?
Your poor chicken looks H.O.T.! It's hot here also, running around 100* in the shade. But we do NOT have the humidity you have.

What a surprising capture of those birds eating the sunflower seeds. They don't even mind if you are nearby with the camera! The sunflower oil is good for their feathers. Do you suppose all the adventure chickens got were empty shells?
I just love Sunflowers, and apparently so do the birds there in KY! Hope all is well!
It's nice to see some farm animals can feed themselves! Now if you can just get those sheep out in the garden with some shovels and hoes you might have more time for spinning!
Yeah, that would be a treat. They mostly seem interested in pruning ;-).
I think we plant sunflowers just for the birds..:-)
