Cramming!

The Tour de Fleece starts tomorrow!

Petunia's very excited to be hosting this year, but at the same time misses Miss Ewenice. We all do. I sure wish Miss Ewenice could have seen Blossom sleeping on that silly cot. She'd have just pursed her lips and shaken her head :-).

I'm still a bit undecided about what I'm spinning for the Tour this year. That surprises me as usually I've got everything lined out weeks ahead. It's like showing up for the final exam without having opened the book or signing up to ride in a bike race and not done any training.

I did set out my wheel oil this afternoon - always a good idea. I do know that once again every wheel will get some mileage.

As well as my Golding spindles.

The wash room at the Wool House has been hopping.

Keebler's on the table and that's Hairy McLairy overflowing the first basket and Ford and a Border Leicester fleece on the end.

Here's a closer look at Keebs. So pretty.

Ford.

Jester. Still so black at his advanced age. Definitely a sheep with great character.

Here's where it gets crazy. As I was loading pictures for this post I noticed it was getting really windy outside. Having just watched the evening news I knew we didn't have any rain for miles around. Straight line winds. Just what we needed :-/.

Several trees came down, one taking out a section of perimeter fence. The amount of dust blown into my hair and eyes will probably never wash clean. Jester's fleece was tossed in the wind, much of it landing in the landscaping mulch.

If it were anyone but Jester, I'd probably toss it out. It's a mess. Just shy of ruined. I guess first up for the Tour is picking it out and salvaging what I can. He's worth it.

As far as the rest...

Team My Favorite Sheep - I gotta spin some Ewenice.

Team Golding - I'll have that figured out by the start tomorrow.

Team Russian Underpants - more Elizabeth on the great wheel - amount to be decided by morning.

Team Footloose - some Border Leicester for a friend - amount to be decided by morning.

I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted. I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted. I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted. I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted. I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted. I am not joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted.

I'm probably joining Team Hopelessly Overcommitted.

Are you ready???
