Sunday Stills - Hand Tools

As a handspinner, I would have been really sad if I'd missed this week's photography challenge, and hey, there are still a couple hours of Sunday left :-).  I tried to take a whole series of "this is the tool and this is how you use it and these are the results you get and then you switch to the next tool and this is how you use it..."  The pictures ended up boring and uninspiring, but it was still a fun afternoon.

I'm working with a friend's really pretty freshly washed Perendale/Cheviot cross fleece.  I wanted to be able to sit outside with everyone so I grabbed a set of wool combs, a drop spindle and a small basket of wool - everything I'd need to create some yarn.  Maisie, Keebler, Blossom, Hank and Betsy took shifts keeping me company :-).

My hand - to wind a plying bracelet.

I'll explain some other time when it's not so late, I'm not so tired and I take better pictures.

Mini skein of yarn.  Perfect for creating a test swatch.
