Somewhere in time's own space
There must be some sweet pastured place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.
~Stanley Harrison

Goodbye Aria, run swift and true.

28 years is a very long life for a horse....but I know it wasn't long enough. Very sorry....

So sorry Sara. I know how much you love your animals. It's never easy. Sending you my deepest sympathies. You are a number one caretaker of all.
Sweet Aria....

Very sorry to hear about your loss...

Somebody told me that our animal friends have shorter lives than ours so that we can cherish more of them during our time here. Aria had a great life with you and you must have many, many good memories which will keep her close to you even when others come and share time with you.

Sympathies on your loss.

The heart around her nose says it all, for surely she had won yours.

Very sorry Sara, I know losing her is a terrible loss. Years ago I had to let my beautiful mare, Lady go at 28 as well.
Take care,
Tammy

Sara, my heart is with you. Sending hugs. Aria was so beautiful and loved! I know you'll be okay but the transitions are not always easy. Hang in there.

Oh, Sara, I'm so sorry. I think we take our losses proportionatly to the amount we love. I know you are having a hard time. Sending a BIG hug to you.

Oh Sara, I can only echo what Sheepmom said so very well. You can take some comfort from the knowledge that you gave her all the love, comfort and respect that any horse would dare to dream of. Love and gentle hugs to everyone in this difficult time.

Tell sweet Aria to wait for my golden retriever Cleo - she'll be at the bridge before the dawn...
Hugs to you, Sara - even when we know it's the best thing, it's so hard...

Oh Sara, I'm sorry. It is so hard to lose loved ones. I've never commented before, but I had to extend my sympathy on your loss.

I have been reading your blog faithfully for several months now and am working my way back through the archives. I will go now and read all the Aria posts, just because.
