The Stairway To Heaven

Or broken elevator falling to hell.

We haven't had any wind, pouring rain...lately. We're, um, pretty sure this came down with the weight of a cat on it.

This is was Eli's route to his office. Pretty much Eli's only route to his office.

While it doesn't really look that challenging, if your tree climbing skills are 'not so grate akshully'...

What was that, Eli?

Huh?

"I said NO COMMENT!"

Hee hee hee

I really shouldn't laugh. This is a traumatic development in Eli's life. No more access to his "office"...unless Saint Tim builds him a new stairway. Let's vote on it! Go to the poll in the upper right and voice your opinion :-).

Here's someone who's always happy to voice her opinion. Presenting Betsy. The name comes from an old children's book, Understood Betsy.

This might be the best cat ever. We couldn't have gone out and spent a million dollars on a nicer cat. And she's a three year old (they think by looking at her teeth) throw away kitty rescued from the local shelter. Always look there first! There are treasures to be found.

Now don't forget to vote. Help Eli get a new stairway...or learn to climb a tree like a real cat.

Well, Rock-a by-Eli on the tree top.
When the wind blows, poor Eli will rock.
When the bough breaks, poor Eli will fall
But St. Tim wil fix it once and for all. ;-)

I couldn't help myself ;-)

Eli sounds like our cat Thumper. He is such a klutz! He had trouble jumping up in things as a kitten because his belly got in the way, he'd get partway there and fall over on his back. Definitely not a graceful cat!

Both my brats are rescues and I didn't get anything near as cool as Betsy. Well, maybe Salem but absolutely NOT Poe!

You are so right about shelter kitties. Sophie was about a year old when we adopted her. We've had her almost 2 1/2 yrs. and just love her to pieces. We originally got her for me but, she has my husband wrapped around her paw.
Right from day 1, she's been well behaved, polite and adorable.

Build the stairway! You know St. Tim will do anything for you.

You know, that tree looks kind of ....dead. Maybe it is time to, you know, cut 'er down.

But for Eli? How about a curving, half-spiral stairway? Maybe not. I can see sheep using it too - and rescuing sheep from the Woolhouse roof might not be a good thing.

Going against the vote here -- he is a cat -- let him climb

I think that Eli will find a new route to her office on her own, but in her own good time. She needs a few days...or weeks to get used to the idea, then she will just Be There.

Poor, poor Eli. I hate it when my weight causes problems. I'm not so coordinated either. Don't worry little buddy. Saint Tim is called Saint Tim for a reason.

Poor Saint Tim. I vote to give him a break. Just put a mattress under the tree until Eli gets his footing on a new route to his office. That Andy
