Easier said than done, but it's 10:00 and I haven't cried yet today. Trying to stay positive.
Here are some random shots from the last several days of Maisie-sitting. While I am way behind for the Iknitarod, I haven't given up. We might have another day or so before the Red Lantern is extinguished. I made decent progress yesterday and am ready to start the lace edging. I'm running short on yarn though, but again...trying to stay positive. At least running out of yarn is something I can fix ;-).
Having spent as much time with Maisie as an adult lately as I spent with her as a baby, I'm beginning to wonder how many times (every day?) she nearly kills herself and we don't even know it. There is a whole acre of grass in this paddock and she's tangled up eating in a weed thicket...
"Tell me about it. That's why I have to watch her so closely!"
One thing I've really enjoyed is watching Maisie and Blossom together. I knew they were good buddies and that Maisie seemed to look up to Blossom like a big sister, but Blossom also looks after Maisie like she's her little sister. They are not related nor came from the same farm. They are just good friends.
B. Willard is very interested in the knitting. And he can be trusted with the knitting. Blossom is another one who is really interested in the knitting...but it might just be the accessories she likes. Maisie just wants to throw everything around. Keebler could not care less about any of it ;-).
The sheep in the back right is Jester. He is doing great :-).
