We had a small, but excellent group of sheep huggers this year. The sheep were darling, the kids (of all ages) were cute, we had some outstanding knitting and spinning, the weather cooperated off and on and everyone had an enjoyable afternoon.
Keebs...being Keebs ;-).
Paige's mom, getting everyone fired up early.
Deb W. always makes sure the 'less interested in hugging' sheep are not neglected.
Stella and 20 modeling their Jacob sheep hand knits.
B. Willard got bored halfway through and crawled out of the pen, walked himself into the barn and helped himself to an entire box of cookies. Luckily Aaron saw it happening and intervened. Willard...
Iris, doing her best sheep impression.
And Weaslie, just blatently begging.
Something that struck me as I watched Renny taking cookies from strangers... Do you think, in a million years, that one year ago she'd have even dreamed of being at a sheep party?
I have more pictures to post, but have to allow for one of my favorite holidays tomorrow ;-).

Belated hugs to all 32!
Glad you and Hickory had a nice ride today.
Thanks for hosting the 2nd annual Hug A Sheep Day. This is the start of something good and a great way to meet fellow sheep lovers and other crazy sheep ladies ;-)
I'm so glad Graham Lamb got some attention. I've always had an affinity for him since I met him as a wee babe. He had the misfortune to be raised in Keebler's shadow. (the cutest lamb ever) That's why he's always stealing things. He feels neglected. It's society's fault. Yeah! He's a victim of society! Don't punish the victim. Punish the situation!
Love the pictures and am so glad that you had a good turn-out for Hug a Sheep Day. Wish I could have come. Maybe someday! I did get to visit some local sheep, but no hugs. The farmer did say that I could come back & visit them anytime, though.
I LOVE the shot with the child. The sheep, (is that Marcel?) looks so determined yet patient.
And no, Reny has to believe she has found sheep heaven on earth.
Thank you for letting me attend the Hug a Sheep day... I could have petted each and everyon of them and not gotten tired!
Hickory is BEAUTIFUL! Oh happy lucky you and the horse! Joy Joy Joy!

Never be disappointed if the turn-out isn't as big as you would like. Those of us who dream of, but can't live on the farm, cherish this time to live the dream, and deeply appreciate you for opening your home to share!
Looks like a high class crowd :-) The huggers and huggees look equally happy. Wish I could have been there too. What a nice event and thoughtful shepherdess.
Looks like it was a great time! So sorry we couldn't make it.
I sooooo wished I could have been there. I miss hugging the sheep! Now I'm having sheep withdraws. lol
