The Mia sized version of the Boudreaux sized blog. This is mostly a BACK UP BLOG and a smaller version for smaller screens if the main blog is too hard to navigate. For complete posts, giveaways, corrected grammar and punctuation, the "rest of the story" and any additional posts that might not make it over here for some reason, please check the BOUDREAUX SIZED BLOG :-).

At The Ready!

The view from the Wool House.  Wheeeee!

My gauge swatch is spot on and the yarn is easy and fun to knit.

I'm using some leftover Punkin yarn for my provisional cast on.

For anyone not able to see the pattern link on Ravelry, here's what we're making - the Market Jacket from November Knits.  The yarn in the picture is a wool and mohair blend.  Our yarn is a wool and Cotswold (aka poor man's mohair) blend of Marcel and Woolliam.

Soooo, other than being a little nervous about getting the patterning started correctly, I am ready to go.  Stella made me a copy of the pattern so I can scribble on it. I might go wind a second ball of yarn just because I'm getting antsy sitting around drinking coffee watching the count down clock.

If you are interested in following the actual Iditarod and don't know where to go, Bet, the non-roving Border Collie reporter, has posted some helpful questions, answers and links on the North Wapiti blog.  Iris is not much into this cold, snowy weather, but Hank and I are very excited :-D.
